More trouble may be coming for OSU this week

Scandal

Reports from Dave Hyde that the NCAA will be coming to South Flordia this week to investigate several High-school football stars and the methods of several colleges and there recruiting practices. One of the colleges in question is the OHIO STATE University. When will it end for OSU???If they don't have enough problems. As I posted today in a earlier article OSU had it's first commit cut ties with Ohio State because of all the turmoil. I think if the problems keep happening you may see many more commits to follow. Breaking News Ohio State prospect axes the idea of playing for them

This could be the first prospect that has spoke out and said he will not play because of all the turmoil surrounding OSU...... Woodland Hills'HS Ejuan Price is not going to Ohio State...Price committed in Jan 17th of this year. This is a huge blow for OSU. This also may be the start of a new trend for the commits. It seems once someone gets the ball rolling it's hard to stop!

Quick football recruiting seems to be spreading to our basketball team

Mark Donnal                                                            Austin Hatch

Recruiting news is hot in Ann Arbor... Everyone is aware how well our football recruiting is doing. Hoke has sparked something very promising at the University of Michigan. Our football team already has 16 commits for it's 2012 season and filling fast. Wednesday marked the first day that NCAA basketball teams could officially send scholarship offers to class of 2013 prospects. And within hours two players made it known that they would love to play for Michigan. Austin Hatch a 6'6", 214 pound wing from Canterbury, Indiana. And Mark Donnal a 6'9", 200 pound post from Anthony Wayne High school Whitehouse (OH). Donnal is ranked 81st in the nation in ESPN's 2013 prospect ratings. With forward Glenn Robinson III and guard/forward Nick Stauskas having committed for 2012. It seems the list is almost full already. Does this look Familiar? Welcome To Michigan Austin and Mark GO BLUE!

Jordan Diamond visiting in Ann Arbor today!!

Very excited to announce that Jordan Diamond is back in Ann Arbor today. I think we might get some huge news following this visit. Jordan is friends with Chris Byant they both pay at Chicago (IL) Simeon. Jordan is a 6'6, 290 pound OL. Offers from Arizona,Arkansas,Auburn,Florida State,Indiana,Iowa,Kansas,Michigan,Michigan State,Mississippi,Northwestern,Notre Dame,Ohio State,Oregon,Tennessee,Vanderbilt,West Virginia and Wisconsin

I would like to add this little story to this post. This Season I was at the Spring Game and after the game we went to the MDEN to purchase a few things. I was very surprised to see Jordan Diamond and Chris Bryant there also. It is funny I was video taping my brother Jason Gromnicki and when I got home after checking the video I noticed I caught Chris Bryant also on the video!!!So I will post that video also here. Pretty cool if you ask me. My thoughts are both these young guys will end up playing at Michigan. Good Luck Jordan and Chris Go Blue!!

Happy Birthday Anthony Standifer

From Everyone At Everything Michigan and More we would like to wish Michigan prospect  Anthony Standifer a Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great and safe day!!! GO BLUE FOREVER ANTHONY

Breaking News Stanford set to visit Michigan

Up on Scout.com Web page they have posted that Cincinnati (OH) Taft WR, Dwayne Stanford will be Visiting Michigan this weekend. That is great news for all the Michigan fans and it sounds like he is happy to be coming...This may be a great visit because as everyone knows he is friends with prospect Adolphus Washington. And the talks around the different recruiting boards are they would like to be a package deal!!!! Cross your fingers guys and Check out Scout.com for this story.

CBS sports and former U-M football coach Rich Rodriguez join forces

Well it Looks like Rich Rod will not be coaching this season instead he will be working with CBS this season. I can't wait to get his input into all the problems at OSU and I'm sure we will get that soon enough. Not much of a chance of him doing the Michigan games But who knows it would make for good ratings. I thought there might be a chance of him returning back to WVU. Looks like that idea is dead. Rodriguez spent three seasons at Michigan before he was dismissed in January. So this might be what he needs to get the blood pumping again. Who knows you might see Rich Rod on the side lines next season......

Erik Magnuson spoke with Everything Michigan and More

Erik Magnuson----OT

HT: 6-6 WT: 275

40: 5.12

Bench: 305

Squat: 405

I spoke with Erik briefly on Sunday evening. We could not talk long Erik was working hard in the gym but the first impression I got from this talented young man is his maturity. I was very impressed with his demeanor. Coming from a talent rich state like California and being one of the best prospects at his position, as well as the nation (#34 prospect on Rivals.com), you would expect a bit of "cockiness". None of that was evident at all during our conversation. Instead, you have a kid who, as he put it, "loves the game"

According to Erik, we as fans should credit Brady Hoke for landing him. " I have known coach Hoke for 3 years and it was a big reason why I chose UM". OL coach Funk loves his footwork and quickness, which can be attributed to being a basketball player.

After watching his film it becomes apparent that the UM staff has done an excellent job at evaluating and landing talent. In my humble opinion, Erik can be an All-Big 10 OT by the time he leaves campus. Beating out programs such as Oklahoma, Oregon and Notre Dame for his services is something that should be considered........while we have yet to prove it on the field Hoke is definitely getting it done with recruiting.

We, as fans should be ecstatic! We not only landed a player over the best programs in the country who is highly rated, extremely talented, all the way from California.........but we landed a young man who symbolizes what a UM player should be! It doesn't hurt that he also believes "Hoke is gonna turn it around and we will win titles". The future is bright ladies and gentleman!  GO BLUE!!!!!

Quick rundown of 2012

Ben Braden OL, Committed 3/24/11 Ben is an Offensive tackle is out of Rockford Michigan. He looks like a good fit on the strong side of the line.

Caleb Stacey, OL 3/26/11 Caleb is an OT that is out of Cincinnati Ohio, he will most likely be moved to guard. He is another good right side guy.

Kaleb Ringer, LB 4/12/11 will most likely fill a Middle Linebacker position, good run stopping. red-shirt

Royce Jenkins-Stone, LB 4/16/11 good middle or strong side LB, he will most likely be red-shirted. He is versatile.

Devin Funchess TE 4/22/11 fast kid, runs track, as a TE with size and speed, has a good upside. may play WR at times if not full time.

A.J. Williams, TE 4/22/11 This kid will be the T.E. his size and strength are great. Should be great blocking and receiving. may produce as a frosh.

Joe Bolden, LB 4/29/11 Outside LB, good football instincts 4.0 GPA. Reads plays well.

James Ross, LB 5/2/11 Rich Rod recruited him, Hoke Wanted him. Instincts and skill, and physical.

Mario Ojemudia, DE 5/7/11 He was made to play for Mattison. The perfect joker. Agressive, Confident, and good.

Pharaoh Brown, DE 5/7/11 big, and skilled. He could take some plays as TE. DE his first step is good. Long lanky arms are good for deflections. not a lot of time in postition, huge huge huge upside.

Matthew Godin, DT 5/12/11 This Kid has it. What is it. It is 4 year starter material. it is going to be fun watching him. only downside is a lil slow off the snap, but makes up for it.

Terry Richardson, DB, 5/19/11 he will most likely be a 2nd cover CB with Standifer as the 1. Just because the size issue. if he grows a lil he might move up to the 1.

Allen Gant, DB 5/31/11 I would say Safety is in line with this guy. he is good. He might be good enough to play as a freshman.

Anthony Standifer, DB 6/1/11 natural CB 1. Good hips, good speed, decent size, can tackle. depending on this year, could possibly be a FS, but i hold him as a CB 1.

Erik Magnuson, 6/10/11 big OT who will handle his own. good feet, needs a little more hand work, but overall could play frosh. Backside guy definitely. This guy will make QBs happy,.

Tom Strobel, DE 6/10/11 here is your opposite to Ojemudia. He should play the strong side, size, strength, and he has Good hands. could move inside, if we get another DE.

RB Greg Garmon visiting Monday

Class of 2012

I am happy to report a visit will happen this week for RB Greg Garmon. Michigan was in his top five and he is reported to be visiting the University of Michigan Monday. Greg is a HT 6-2 WT200lb RB from McDowell SHS Erie, PA. It seems like the consensus is Dunn is the guy most would want if we take a running back, but this would also be a nice pickup. Greg is a top 100 guy to Scout, and top 200 to Rivals. Greg has legit talent. Some of the other schools he will be visiting this summer include Illinois, Iowa, Purdue, Notre Dame, North Carolina and Florida and says he likes Rutgers as well. Some of his offers include:

Buffalo
Cincinnati
Connecticut
Florida State
Illinois
Iowa
Kansas
Kent State
Michigan
Minnesota
North Carolina
Penn State
Pittsburgh
Purdue
Rutgers
Syracuse
Vanderbilt
West Virginia
Wisconsin
