Immediate investigation needs to take place Michigan vs MSU game

How do you beat the championship Chicago Bulls teams? You neutralize Micheal Jordan and or try to get him out of the game. To many fans of Michigan football #35 Joe Bolden is our Micheal Jordan on Defense. He is our key defensive caller and leading in tackles for the team. Zero points were scored for MSU up until this point of the game. During Sat game against MSU the unthinkable happen. Joe Bolden was called for a targeting penalty. As a result he was ejected from the game. If you watch the video above very closely you can clearly see Joe was underarm thrown by OT  #74 Jack Conklin into #18 QB Connor Cook. After Official review you would think the officials would correct the call but this did not happen. How did replay official, Tom Kissinger miss overturning this targeting call?  I am very curious to know why this call was not reversed. How can we penalize players when they are not in control. It is very clear Joe had no control in this situation and was following the force of momentum. I am not one to make excuses, MSU played a very good game but this call needs to be fixed. The NCAA has a duty in this matter it needs to be resolved quickly. If not are we opening the door for players to try to throw other players into each other to try to get a targeting penalty? I hope we are not opening a can of worms here.

Joe Bolden's 2015 stats thus far

  • Surpassed the 200 career-tackle mark at Utah (Sept.3)
  • at Utah (Sept.3): Tallied a team-best 13 tackles, including six solo stops, and one tackle for loss
  • Oregon State (Sept.12): Led the Wolverine defense with 7 tackles, including four solos, notched second career fumble recovery, returning it 18 yards
  • UNLV (Sept.19): Picked up a team-leading six tackles, including three solo tackles
  • at Maryland (Oct. 3): Recorded six total tackles and had one tackle for loss
  • Northwestern (Oct. 10th): Had six tackles and QB hurry

Michigan records back to back shutouts first time in 15 years!

Michigan records back to back shutouts for first time in 15 years!  U of M's defense has held opponents scoreless in 14 of the past 16 quarters surrendering just 7 points over the last 15 quarters. Michigan only allowed 105 total yards in this game. After a slow start Michigan Wolverines get there 4th straight victory. Michigan went on the road to beat Maryland 28-0. Jim's brother John was on hand to watch Jim for the first time ever. He said "It was great to stand behind Jim and watch him work". Michigan has Undefeated  (16)Northwestern at home next week, This should shape up to be a major defensive battle. Depending on the outcome of the rest of the games both teams should rise in the AP rankings with the loss of a few in the top 25..

Injury of note* Mario Ojemudia may have suffered an Achilles injury. Long term injury.

Recent ongoing poll has Michigan ahead to win the Big Ten Championship!!

In a recent ongoing poll provided by Bleacher Report a question was asked simply "Who will win the Big Ten'? To most critics surprise the leader is not Ohio State or Michigan State... Yes you guessed it right!! The Michigan Wolverines are taking the lead not by a little margin but by over 15%. With over 5,000 votes taken so far Michigan has rushed to the front of the pack. Is it true? Is the college football fan starting to believe in Michigan again? I think something has changed for sure. Hype train or not many can agree much improvement has taken place thus far. The Jim Harbaugh Era has truly arrived in full force!

Michigan Defense ranked 2nd in the Nation

After 4 weeks of game play the Michigan Wolverines have broke into the AP Top 25 at 22nd in the nation. This is the first time since 2013 when they peaked at 23rd.  But what is more important the Michigan's Defense is now  ranked 2nd in the nation in total defense.

Many people must agree that   "Defense wins Championships".   Teams are scoring just 7.8 points per game against Michigan. Our Defense and team as a whole have been  improving each week. With the way Michigan is playing don't be surprised if we surpass everyone's expectations at the beginning of the year. 7-8 win season seems like a cake walk with the way Michigan is playing.  This is a nice start to the season D.J. Durkin and Greg Mattison have done an amazing job with this team.

Michigan ranked No. 22 in latest AP Top 25

It only took Jim Harbaugh four games to get Michigan into the AP Top 25, Wolverines check in at No. 22 after a 31-0 win over BYU. The Wolverines didn't even receive one AP vote last week.

Sunday marked the first time Michigan's been ranked in the AP Top 25 since the Wolverines were No. 23 prior to the loss at Michigan State on November 2, 2013. Ohio State and Michigan State better take Notice!!!

This is a hungry team with lots of talent. I'm looking forward to an amazing conference race. When I look back at all the haters who said Michigan was playing a cupcake Utah team  I could only laugh. I knew Utah was a great team and after the beating Oregon in a convincing manner it looks like I was right. Michigan is only one pick 6 away from being undefeated and that is a fact. Harbaugh has truly turned this team around.....
