Tony Posada Leaves Michigan Football Team

Ann Arbor.com just reported that Tony Posada has just left the Michigan football team. Though details of his departure were not confirmed, his loss could hurt the program in the future. Rivals had him as a 3 star offensive lineman from Tampa, Florida, it is always dishearteningly to see a member of the team leave early.

He was a 2011 recruit and was not expected to play this coming year (he was to be a true-freshman). He had several significant offers from big football programs, and was expected to develop into a solid player.

There have been rumors that Posada showed up to camp unprepared. MGoBlog reported that he ended camp at an enormous 340 lbs and definitely appeared out of shape.

Sad to see another transfer, but better to lose him now than mid season or after years of coaching development. We can only wish him the best of luck in the future.
