Two UM Hockey Players Chosen in 2011 NHL draft





















Goaltender John Gibson and Defenseman Brennan Serville were chosen this morning in the 2011 NHL Draft. Gibson was chosen in the 2nd round by the Anahein Ducks with the 39th overall selection. Serville was chosen in the 3rd round by the Winnipeg Jets with the 78th overall selection. These teams now hold their draft rights for 3 years.



Last season was the second season that Gibson (6' 3" 205) played for the under 18 US National Developmental Team.. Last season he recorded a record of 9-4-3 with a 2.38 gaa .926 save percentage that included 1 shutout.



Brennan Serville (6' 3" 180) has played the last 2 seasons for the Stouffville Spirit of the Ontario Junior Hockey League with career stats of 99 gp 6g 39a 45pts 54pim. During the 2010-11 season he appeared in 19 playoff games recording 2g 10a 12wpts and 54pim




I'm am looking forward to seeing both these players in action the winter wearing the Maize and Blue.
